We Gisicans celebrate GIS Day by sharing our passion with others. For us GIS Day is a day dedicated to inspiring and teaching others how GIS applications are making a difference in our society.
This year we visited a school in Tunis, the capital of Tunisia, and helped children to learn more about geography and why we celebrate GIS Day. We believe that helping and inspiring children to learn geography from a young age will help mankind in the near future.
Our future generations need a firm foundation in geography to resolve the relevant issues we face now. Climate change, economic globalization and natural hazards are all issues that have a geographic component.
We Gisicans also firmly believe that learning should be fun. We have shared here pictures from our GIS Day Celebration.
